Summer Retreat – Damascus, Oregon

July 27, 2011 - July 31, 2011

$525

Join us for the Ling Gui Qigong School’s Annual Summer Retreat and immerse yourself in powerful Qigong guided by world renowned Qigong Masters! Once again, this year’s summer retreat will be held in the relaxing and beautiful Still Meadow Retreat Center in Damascus, Oregon.  In addition to a wonderfully inspiring teaching room, there are trails on the property, a wood-fired sauna, and swimming in the nearby Clackamas River. For the adventurous, there are beautiful hikes available about an hour up the road.

This year's content will bring a variety of self-healing forms and techniques.

As this year's retreat will fall on a New Moon, we will learn a special New Moon Mediation.  Master Liu He will teach the New Moon I-Ching Meditation. During this time, most people feel a low mood, emotional struggles, increased fatigue, depression, stress, worsening illness, business decline, and/or decreased motivation. Qigong Masters know that during the new moon, it is the best time for seeding the qi.  According to the I-Ching, Taoist philosophy and Chinese Astrology, the new moon is the most auspicious time for starting new projects, creating a vision and beginning to create for yourself a ‘new’ beginning, purpose, intention and direction. You look at new ways of thinking, being and acting to move you out of a ‘rut’. You take action as you plant positive ideas in your subconscious mind.  It is a journey into your deeper self. It is a healing meditation on a multi-dimensional level. Master Liu He encourages everyone to make the most of this gateway to new opportunities for your health, home, family, business.  It is a very rejuvenating meditation. This meditation needs to be practiced once per month on the day before, of and the day after the new moon.

Also included is: Five Organ Self-Massage, to activate the energetic functions of the organ and the organ souls, White Skeleton Meditation, for calming the mind, nourishing qi and awakening your three treasures: Jing, Qi and Shen, and Hui Gong Healing for the Heart this form focuses on bringing the mind-heart to tranquility through cleansing.  It uses the method of one thought replacing the train of many thoughts. It does this by using the mind to guide qi through the five solid organs.

For those who have learned Hui Gong, you will learn DaZhou Tian (Big Celestial Circulation) a form that transforms Qi to Shen while Small Celestial Circulation transforms Jing into Qi and develop the twelve primary meridians.
