2024 is the Year of the Wood Dragon. The Wood Dragon is known to dominate the Earth and potentially cause earthquakes, leading to insecurity and instability. Within Chinese medicine theory, the Earth element is associated with our digestive system, which can be challenged and/or weakened by the Wood Dragon’s influence.
To prevent the Wood Dragon’s domination, Master Liu He suggests practicing Magic Square Abdominal Qigong. This form strengthens digestion and counters the Wood Dragon’s Yang energy. The courses aim to make digestion easier and more efficient while cultivating a creative and clear mindset. It is a crucial time to focus on nurturing your personal Earth element to enhance both your health and wealth.
The Chinese medicine system views the Earth’s Elements to include the Stomach/Spleen/Pancreas energetic organ systems. When we can receive nourishment, these organs transform and transport food into Qi, Blood, and Essence: vital components necessary to heal your entire system and maintain good health. When you are more healthy, you are more wealthy!
- FORM: qigong form for your personal practice; this allows for self-healing and the ability to connect with qi and transmit
- THEORY: Chinese Medicine, Daoist Medicine (pertaining to the season, form, meridians, acupoints)
- PHILOSOPHY: Qigong philosophy, lifestyle practices – what is most beneficial for the season regarding daily living
Each class varies and may also contain: - Nutritional practices – what is most beneficial to align with the seasonal Qi
- Feng Shui/Astrology – utilizing the Qi associated with the year or season, Master Liu He provides practices to work with the Qi at a specific time

National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine: 16 PDAs (2 PDAs for each class) are approved through NCCAOM for licensed acupuncturists in the PE-CW category. Others who need CEUs may receive the certificates; however, you will need to check with your licensing board if they will accept them. You must attend live (in real-time online) to receive the PDAs.
When properly practiced Qigong, it is highly beneficial and presents minimal risk to one’s health; please consult your physician if you doubt your capabilities or have unique health concerns.
This class is suited to Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Qigong Instructors, Yoga Instructors, Martial Arts Instructors, Reiki Practitioners, and other professionals. No prerequisites are needed.
