May 13, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - May 14, 2017 @ 3:30 pm
Nei Yang Gong is known as “Qi Gong for Circulating Energy and strengthening the Tendons”. It strengthens bones and tendons, the four limbs and harmonizes the organs, energy and blood.
This form can be practiced any time of day. It is often practiced by seniors due to its gentleness. It helps in experiencing the fullness of the lower half of the body and the emptiness of the upper body.
In terms of body movement, we pay attention to the stretch, rotation, and extension of the spinal column. The movements work with relaxed shoulders, hips, lumbar region and all the joints. It is therefore an excellent method for treating diseases such as bronchitis, digestive problems, asthma, nervousness, hypertension, leg pain and lumbar osteoarthritis, neck and back pain. It is also good for insomnia, high blood pressure, stress and heart disease.
Chan Meditation practice incorporates seated meditation and the focus is on emptying the mind and body of wants and desires so the qi can fill in. Practicing meditation in stillness quiets the mind until desire dies. When your heart is very peaceful, the qi drops in. All the doors open and nature’s intelligence flows through the body. Learn to observe the body with the six roots, observe the heart to develop joy and peace, observe calm, willingness, intelligence and wisdom.
