Fenghuo Lun Yijing Qigong Summer Retreat with Master Liu He-In Person
July 21 - July 23
Join Master Liu He to learn these wisdom traditions for transforming Fire and Wind.
The form focuses on controlling Fire and guiding the Wind to create metaphysical connections, facilitate healing on all levels, and align with the periodic retrograde of planets, which often causes imbalance for us.
The Yijing hexagram #37 represents family, friends, and relationships. It’s the perfect time to reconnect with our families, partners, friends, Qi community, and your spiritual community. All these can be considered as family, extending even to your country, the world, nature, and the Universe! This hexagram emphasizes the significance of family in society. It’s an auspicious year for marriage, starting a family, or expanding it. When you find happiness in your family life, you find happiness in society as well!
Another key message of this hexagram is the emphasis on the role of the matriarch. Female energy and virtue will be particularly important over the next 20 years. As the saying in philosophy goes, “When the family flourishes, the country flourishes, and the world flourishes.” In the concept of Five Elemental Theory, Fire creates internal Wind, some let their anger manifest while others hold it inside. If you express your anger too much, this Wind will drive away your Qi and exhaust you. If you keep anger inside, the Inner Wind can disrupt your mental and physical health. With this practice, you will learn to use the Fenghuo Lun (electricity generating wheel) to charge energy and direct the Wind in a positive direction to improve your health, instead of destroying you.
IN-PERSON Retreat for our July sessions!
We plan to gather in person this summer at the Alton L. Collins Retreat Center! We look forward to connecting with you!
The facilities provide a lodge-type feel with many outdoor spaces, a large lobby, a library, and more! Magnificent western red cedars grace the grounds. The natural forest setting has been preserved. Trails take you through the woods and along the streams that meander around the grounds. Their holistic chef makes sure your meals nourish your mind and body so you can focus on retreat.
The Alton L. Collins Retreat Center is dedicated to offering a safe, quality environment for growth and reflection for service worldwide. The center is nestled in a Pacific northwestern forest surrounded by majestic, moss-covered cedar, spruce, fir, hemlock, and big-leaf maple.
