Chan and Taoist Meditation with Dr. Liu Dong – Seattle

May 26, 2012 - May 27, 2012

Join us for this exciting new workshop! Take an internal journey for inner-reflection and purification of the six senses by learning practices of Chan Meditation (Chinese Zen practice) and Taoist Meditation featuring the Small Celestial Circulation.  Chan practice incorporates seated meditation and the focus is on emptying the mind and body of wants and desires so the qi can fill in.  Practicing meditation in stillness for hours and hours quiets the mind until desire dies.  When your heart is very peaceful, the qi drops in.  All the doors open and nature’s intelligence flows through the body. Small Celestial Circulation awakens your ability to guide the qi through your body utilzing the Du Mai (Governing Channel) and the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel).

The weekend will also include theory lectures pertaining to the Organ Souls: Shen (spirit of the Heart), Yi (spirit of the Spleen), and the Zhi (spirit of the Kidneys) and how they relate to each other.  Qigong practice for the weekend will include the White Snake Rotation
