SUMMARY:Fall Class Series - Concentrating the Hun & Training the Po - Registration Closed
DESCRIPTION:Registration Closed/Full-Contact us to be placed on wait list. \nDates: September 16\, 30\, October 7\, 14\, 21\, November 4\, 2017 \nConcentrating the Hun ( seated meditation form) The spirit sent to the liver is called Hun. The Hun gives us sight in the day and dreams at night. It is responsible for our creative projects\, plans\, and dreams for the future. When practicing\, this form decreases cloudy thinking and creates a sharp\, clear mind to make unhesitating decisions in life. \nLimiting and Training the Po ( standing form) The Po of the lungs is similar to an animal spirit\, controlling bodily rhythms and basic physical instincts. This spirit’s primal impulses\nare behind the behavior patterns of infants. Sexual instincts are also controlled by the Po. The Po includes seven spirits that connect with the seven emotions: anger\, worry\, fear\, excitement/joy\, fright\, sadness/grief\, and anxiety. All emotions ultimately return to sadness/grief\, the emotion connected with the lungs\, as part of letting go. The Po and the development of the lungs are important when you are practicing this form\, especially for current physical health. Practicing this Qigong also takes us further\, by working on reestablishing our connection to all the body’s spirits. This work prepares us to continue life in the spiritual world after death. \nSaturdays: 2:00-4:00pm \nLocation: Harmony Yoga\, 2108 NE 41st Ave.\, Portland\, OR  97212 \nAll Fees once paid are non-refundable\, they can be transferred to another class. \nWhereas when Qigong is properly practiced\, it is extremely beneficial and presents minimal risk to one’s health\, please consult your physician if you are in doubt of your capabilities or have special health concerns.

SUMMARY:Healing the Tendons & Strengthening Bones - Yi Jin Jing with Dr. Liu Dong - Seattle
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this classical method! \nThe Yi Jin Jing became a classic\, transmitted orally from master to disciple and widely practiced. After more than a thousand years\, a Daoist priest\, Zi Yi\, undertook to codify the movements of the six routines and their order\, preserving the details. He also added exercises\, another six routines\, borrowing from Daoists practices including Dao Yin\, Tu Na and Xing Qi\, creating another method\, the Xi Sui Jing\, or Purification of the Marrow. Marrow is a source of life\, of blood\, and very necessary to the brain\, as well. In Chinese\, the brain is called “the ocean of marrow” because all our marrow returns to the brain.
