The natural forest setting has been preserved. Trails take you through the woods and along the streams that meander around the grounds. Their holistic chef makes sure your meals nourish your mind and body so you are able to focus on retreat.\nThe Alton L. Collins Retreat Center is dedicated to offering a safe\, quality environment for growth and reflection for service in the world.  The center is nestled in a Pacific northwestern forest surrounded by majestic\, moss-covered cedar\, spruce\, fir\, hemlock and bigleaf maple.  The natural environment supports ferns\, trillium\, and salmonberry bushes covering the forest floor. \nJoin Dr. Liu Dong for a journey into the deep teachings found within the Ma Wang Dui tombs. \nMa Wang Dui Birds Qigong is the most primitive method of Daoist health. You will learn to imitate the breathing and movements of seven species of birds in order to regulate the seven internal organs of the human body (five zang-yin organs (liver\, lungs\, spleen\, heart\, and kidneys\,  plus the brain and gallbladder).\n\nChinese medicine believes that brain-dominated emotions lead the body’s five internal organs and the gallbladder leads the decision\, which is the root of the emotion.\n\nThe Qigong method’s movements will focus on supporting the brain and gallbladder to treat the five internal organs and diseases.\nChan Meditation will also be presented.
